History of the Woolen Mill

On Tuesday, April 11, beginning at 7 p.m.,

the Rice County Historical Society will host a program on the history of the Woolen Mill.

Please join us when local author Lisa M. Bolt Simons shares her experience writing “Faribault Woolen Mill-Loomed in the Land of Lakes”, a book about a small/family business, employee loyalty, and the art of craftsmanship. She'll include navigating the in-depth research process, as well as emphasizing the importance of nonfiction as a genre. Simons is also the author of over 25 nonfiction children’s books and three middle-grade novels. She's been a teacher for more than 20 years and teaches English to non-native speaking adults at the Faribault Education Center

The cost of the event is free for members and $2 for Non-Members

This event is held in the Rice County Historical Society’s Carlander Family Room. For more information about the event or reserve your spot, call the RCHS museum at 507-332-2121.
