Concerts in the Park - Bend in the River Big Band

Bend in the River Big Band, currently one of the Twin Cities top jazz big bands, originated in St. Peter when the majority of the players were college classmates under Dr. Mark Lammers. Included in their big band repertoire are the sounds of Duke Ellington and Count Basie to the best jazz and big band composers of today. The band features two of the cities top jazzers, Chuck Lindenkamp on tenor sax and Bob Hallquist on flugelhorn are both highly-respected professionals. Hallquist is the current leader of the band. If the weather cooperates, there could well be over a thousand people at this concert as it is on the same night as Faribault’s annual Pet Parade that ends in Central Park.
